2004-2005 Season
Autumn Concert
Photos from our first concert, on Saturday 13th November, held in St Wulfram's Church, Grantham at 7.30pm are shown below. The programme consisted of four choral items and an orchestral piece.
The choral items were:
- Little Organ Mass - Haydn
- Beatus Vir - Monteverdi
- Hear My Prayer - Mendelssohn
- Song for Athene - John Tavener
These are from different eras extending from the Rennaissance (the Monteverdi) to the twentieth century (John Tavener), but all are very tuneful and accessible. Song for Athene achieved fame when it was performed at the funeral of Princess Diana. Our soprano soloist was Nicola Pulford who is a very talented local girl and who impressed Emma Kirkby recently at the Dartington Festival when she performed accompanied by Philip Robinson. The orchestral work is Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No 5. The orchestra was the English Pro Musica to be conducted by our Musical Director Philip Robinson.

Spring Concert

The soloists were:
- Soprano : Kate Semmens

- Bass: Robert Clarke

- Conductor: Philip Robinson
