From Tuesday, 10th January 2012 there will be a free "Absolute Beginners Course" at 7.00 for those who would like to sing, but may not have much,or any experience. All voices invited to attend but especially TENORS and BASSES.

Altough the term has started we would still welcome potential new recruits. Just come along and see if you like us.

Welcome to the Grantham Choral Society Website.

This site contains regularly updated information about our Society including information about the 2011/12 Season. For details please click on the appropriate item in the index.

Grantham Choral Society has been rehearsing and performing concerts together for over 48 years. We perform major concerts organised with professional soloists and orchestra biannually as well as a traditional Christmas Carol Concert each year.

We are very fortunate in performing our concerts in the wonderful setting of St Wulfram Parish Church in Grantham. Our Christmas Carol Concerts have been given in the ChristChurch, Finkin Street as will be the case this year, and for a long time to come as well we hope!

Whats New At Grantham Choral Society.co.uk?

• NEW STAGING PROJECT Following years of sterling service it was decided to retire our old staging. We have purchased a modular system which will enable us to build a smaller stage, if appropriate, but more importantly the flexibility to erect it wherever we want in different venues. The GCS would like to thank the Lincolnshire County Council for awarding us a £2500 grant from their Communities Development Fund towards the purchase price. We used the staging for the first time during our Spring 2011 concert.
• LINKS FOR AIDING REHEARSALS Links have been added to the website which might aid in the rehearsing of our music at home. Rehearsal Music Links is a new menu item which will open a page to guide you through the use of MIDI files. It also contains links to other websites with performances of the works currently under preparation.
